Steps to Synchronize with Target

Target Data Sync Implementation Guidelines

Target is excited about partnering with 1SYNC™ and our suppliers on further enhancing the supply chain process by leveraging Global Data Synchronization (GDS). 

In 2010, Target will be implementing the use of GDS with a select group of suppliers. Vendors selected will be contacted by Target to discuss implementation plans and timing. Please visit the links below to review our GDS process.


Authorized Barcodes
Ensure you use authorized and unique GS1 US Company Prefixes to build your U.P.C barcode and Global Trade Item Numbers® (GTINs®). In the United States, GS1 US is the sole source of globally-unique GS1 Company Prefixes. Proper usage and formation of barcodes, and accurate product information ensure Data Quality, which is a pre-requisite in successfully improving supply chain efficiencies. Apply for a U.P.C. Company Prefix.
