Leading Hardlines Retailers Team Up to Enhance Supply Chain Efficiencies through the Global Data Synchronization Network® (GDSN®)

Quick and efficient electronic communications will eventually replace manual paper processes – including new item introduction – at many Hardlines retailers. In an effort to streamline item setup and maintenance, retailers such as The Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Wal-Mart are planning to automate these processes via the GDSN.

Though they are at various stages of progress in their data synchronization initiatives, these retailers are committed to the GDSN and have issued a letter to the community encouraging suppliers to be in alignment with their goals.

Read the letter issued by these Hardlines retailers in October 2008.
