GS1 LEARN is a global online supply chain education program that provides the training your business needs for GS1 standards compliance. GS1 LEARN offers a variety of courses that can be taken individually or combined as a series to earn a certificate of achievement.

Register today to begin your training:

  • Select individual courses or series package 
  • Complete registration and payment process 
  • You will receive an email from GS1 within 1-2 business days containing your personal login to access the courses you have selected 
  • Access to GS1 LEARN courses expires 60 days from your payment date

Earn the GS1 LEARN Certificate of Achievement: 

  • Register for the entire series of 7 core courses 
  • At the end of each course you will be required to complete tests; passing score is 100% 
  • GS1 will issue your Certificate of Achievement upon successful completion of the 7 core courses.

Description:  This foundational course aims at providing the key principles of each of the seven GS1 Identification Keys: GTIN (Global Trade Item Number), GLN (Global Location Number), SSCC (Serial Shipping Container Code), GRAI (Global Returnable Asset Identifier), GIAI (Global Individual Asset Identifier), GSRN (Global Service Relationship Number), and GDTI (Global Document Type Identifier). It also introduces the concept of GS1 Application Identifiers, a data dictionary for encoding information into GS1 Bar Codes and Electronic Product Code Tags. You will learn how each of the numbers are structured, how various data elements interrelate, and pointers to additional information sources. Along with the GS1 Bar Codes course, this course provides a foundation for additional Bar Code and ID Key related courses. It is also part of the GS1 training program that leads toward the internationally endorsed entry-level certificate. The passing score for each of the tests is set at 100%.
