  • Complete registration and payment process 
  • You will receive an email from GS1 within 1-2 business days containing your personal login to access the courses you have selected 
  • Access to GS1 LEARN courses expires 60 days from your payment date

Earn the GS1 LEARN Certificate of Achievement: 

  • Register for the entire series of 7 core courses 
  • At the end of each course you will be required to complete tests; passing score is 100% 
  • GS1 will issue your Certificate of Achievement upon successful completion of the 7 core courses.

Description:  This course provides the fundamental principles of applying GS1 Logistic Labels and the concept of applying a Serial Shipping Container Code (SSCC). The usage of two key aspects of the GS1 System are covered. The Serial Shipping Container Code (SSCC) is used to identify the logistic unit and the GS1 Logistics Label provides the format to encode the SSCC - and any other required data - on the logistic unit. The Bar Coding of Logistic Units - most often pallets - is a major application of the GS1 System. According to the latest GCI (Global Commerce Imitative) some 65% of all pallets in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods sector are bar coded according to GS1 standards. This course provides an overview of how to do it. It is also part of the GS1 training program that leads toward the internationally endorsed entry-level certificate. The passing score for each of the tests is set at 100%.
Target audience:  For the students who have taken the GS1 Bar Codes (and GS1-128 in particular) GS1 Identification Keys and Application Identifiers course GS1000-EL0018 and wants to know more.
