What is a GS1 US BarCode and eCom Solution Partner? A Solution Partner is a hardware provider, software provider, or consultant that has certified their products or services to be compliant to the GS1 System standards. GS1 US BarCode and eCom Certified Solution Partners offer a variety of solutions that are tested, proven and ready for use by your company. Products and services include barcode software, barcode printers, barcode verifiers, and professional consultants.
Barcode Software
Standards-certified software that can correctly process GS1 System data structures to produce a correct symbol (barcode).
Barcode Printers (Hardware)
Standards-certified printers that can correctly handle GS1 System identification numbers, and appropriately print correct, quality symbols (barcodes).
Barcode Consultants
Consultants offer the most comprehensive consulting services for the implementation of GS1 System standards utilizing Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) technology solutions. Consultants are trained and certified to provide overall education and services for implementing standards-compliant hardware and software solutions. Certified Consultants offer expert knowledge in areas such as data structures, the GS1 System and its identification numbers, Application Identifiers (AI), data carriers (barcodes) and specifications, such as GS1 DataBar™.
Barcode Verifiers
Standards-certified verifiers are tested against the symbols (bar codes) of the GS1 System. Certified Verifiers properly validate that manufacturers' symbols meet the level of quality set forth by the General GS1 Specifications.
All standards-certified products for the GS1 System are tested for compliance in one or more of the ten GS1 System barcodes. The specific barcodes tested for each product and the specific version for software or hardware is listed on the Solution Partners Fact Sheet below. Please refer to this information when purchasing hardware or software. It is important to remember that only the models and versions listed on the Solution Partner Fact Sheet are certified to GS1 System specifications.
