In this hands-on workshop, participants will be guided through the steps needed to prepare for the Global Data Synchronization Network™ (GDSN®) non-backward Major Release 3.1 scheduled to be rolled out in 2016. The workshop will focus on the detail of the data changes and how they are intended to operate, including more than 200 new attributes, hierarchy withdrawal, deprecation of some attributes, and other data migration requirements. Worksheets and tools created by the GS1 US GDSN Standards Maintenance Group will be used to provide examples and demonstrations of how the changes will affect data synchronized between data pools and trading partners. Workshop participants will gain a thorough understanding of the changes and a checklist to help them prepare their organization for a seamless transition.
