The purpose of this report is to outline two successful Automatic Identification Technology (AIT) system implementations supporting the Unique Identification (UID) construct by the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) AIT support facility located on Webster Field in St. Inigoes, Maryland. Both systems are unique Asset Management Systems that were developed and implemented for the U.S. Department of
Homeland Security (DHS). The primary focus will be on the business process, design, and successful implementation of these two systems and how the NAVAIR AIT team utilized the UID construct for both bar codes and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags. |
