Now in its 14th year, GS1 Connect 2014 will explore what reinvention looks like in a world in which consumers are information empowered with more choice and control. The beautiful San Diego Bay is the back drop for the GS1 Connect 2014 Conference providing attendees with the opportunity to learn, network, and hear how GS1 Standards are reinventing business amidst the sunshine and beauty of one of California’s most popular destinations.
Located at the San Diego Convention Center, this year’s conference will offer four industry tracks to provide supply chain insights and updates for those in Grocery, Foodservice, Retail, and Healthcare. Returning by popular demand is a fifth track on GS1 Standards and Solutions which is targeted at expanding on educational topics associated with implementation best practices of the GS1 System.

VIEW CONFERENCE BY TRACK
GS1 Connect 2014 Conference Schedule:
Beginning on Tuesday, June 10th, conference attendees have access to Collaboration Day from 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM, followed by the conference kick off at 4:00 PM. All events will require that attendees wear their event badges. Specifically, GS1 Connect Conference attendees will have access to:
- All activities in the Exhibit Hall (including Exhibits, Trading Partner Roundtables, Technology Theater presentations, Industry Zones, GS1 Standards and Solutions Zone, and GS1 US Member Support Center)
- Pre-conference ‘How to Do Business With’ sessions (various times throughout Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)
- All conference related events starting with the opening Keynote on Tuesday and going through the program ending Thursday afternoon at 5:00 PM. Conference events include Tuesday and Wednesday Receptions.
The GS1 Connect Conference offers attendees complimentary access to their new feature “Collaboration Day”. Collaboration Day begins at 8:00 am on June 10th and ends that day at 3:30 pm. Held primarily in the Convention Center’s Exhibit Hall, this experience offers conference attendees the opportunity to participate in formal and informal meetings with experts in GS1 Standards and industry initiatives, providers of supply chain solutions, and companies who will be hosting Trading Partner Roundtables and How to Do Business With…” sessions. This powerful day offers access to popular features from previous GS1 Connect conferences but was designed to reduce the time conflicts that have impeded an attendee’s availability to take advantage of them in the past. Participants of Collaboration Day have the opportunity to make connections that can help them frame the remaining week and increase the overall value of their conference experience.
New this year! Pre-conference offerings will begin on Sunday, June 8, 2014 and continue through Monday, June 9, 2014. Located at the San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina, the Pre-conference education returns to offer 101 level tracks on the basics of implementing barcodes, electronic commerce, EPC-enabled RFID and global data synchronization. Additional tracks and workshops have been added to the pre-conference educational roster to meet the growing demand for hands-on training such as EDI Essentials, Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Reporting (CPFR) Training and a GDSN Workshop. 1WorldSync User Group:
The 1WorldSync User Group will be returning to GS1 Connect 2014 and be held at the Marriott Marquis & Marina. It will start at 8:00 am on Monday, June 9th, and will continue through 9:00 pm Monday night, after the close of the 4th annual 1WorldSync Awards Reception and Dinner, which is open to 1WorldSync User Group attendees.
