Advancing Partnership Levels
In order to recognize those Solution Partners who have made the strong commitment to support GS1 US and the implementation of GS1 Standards, the Solution Partner Program includes multiple levels, with each higher level providing more benefits and value to the partner.
Three partnership levels are available:
- Solution Partner: This entry level for the Solution Partner Program and includes basic marketing, market insights, education/training/certification, and community opportunities.
- Premier Solution Partner: Premier Solution Partners have unprecedented collaboration with GS1 US, supported by marketing development funding and access to deeper professional resources. Quarterly, in-depth Market Briefing calls and an annual GS1 US hosted, half-day Market Insights session are but two valuable benefits to consider, plus exclusive sponsorship opportunities at GS1 Connect, the annual GS1 US conference, higher listing in the GS1 Solution Partner Directory, completely subsidized training and certification (up to three), and joint, co-branded case studies and white papers.
- Executive Solution Partner: The highest level of partnership offers the greatest opportunity for collaboration and the most aggressive marketing and business programs, including a joint press release on your relationship with GS1 US, top listing in the GS1 US Solution Partner Directory, exclusive sponsorship opportunities at GS1 Connect, an annual GS1 US full-day briefing with “top to top” meeting, and development of a joint business plan.
The ability to move up through the tiers of the program is one of the key components of the Solution Partner Program. Definitive qualifications that demonstrate a company’s commitment to GS1 US and the GS1 System must be met in order for a Solution Partner to move into the Premier and Executive Partner tiers:
- Company Viability: Premier and Executive Solution Partners are closely engaged with GS1 US for go-to-market activities, including partnering on advisory services. Therefore, we have established a basic prerequisite regarding company viability, helping ensure that the partners with which GS1 US closely engages for these opportunities have a moderate to low risk of not being able to deliver. Company viability is required for any company looking to become a Premier or Executive Partner.
- Customer Reference and Satisfaction: As Solution Partners are key GS1 US partners in the adoption and implementation of the GS1 Standards and GS1 US solution in our member/customer community, the accreditation program requires customer references in support of the Solution Partner and proof of customer satisfaction in follow-up to engagements GS1 US has with the Solution Partner.
- Education and Certification: All partners are required to have at least one employee complete the online GS1 US Fundamentals Training. Certifications are offered at the Professional, Product, and Provider (Company) level. Multiple certifications can help a Solution Partner move up in the program.
- Adoption Support: Solution Partners can earn points toward higher levels in the program through specific adoption support activities in the areas of market support, revenue, and usage. Adoption support is a required component to achieve Executive Partner status.
