The Highest of Standards

The recent and unconscionable killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery have sparked a long overdue national dialog on racism, injustice, and inequality. We must learn from this moment in America and more importantly, do our part to live the principle that serves as the backbone of our freedom:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

For too long, hatred, bigotry and racism have been deniers of these unalienable rights – not just through explicit violence, but more broadly by not taking notice of the more subtle dividers among us.

We will take notice. Racism, hatred, bigotry, and any form of exclusion have no place at GS1 US. As an organization founded to unite diverse communities and perspectives from around the globe, we affirm our commitment to live by the highest standards of inclusiveness, equality, and respect in everything we do.
