GS1 US EDI

Electronic commerce, or e-commerce takes place when business is communicated and managed electronically. Whether your company uses Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) or Extensible Markup Language (XML), we have the resources to help you use electronic commerce correctly to maximize efficiency and productivity.

NEW: The GS1 US EDI questionnaire is voluntary and designed to gather information about the use of EDI Standards by GS1 US member companies in the United States. The final EDI analytics report will aggregate all detailed information without naming individuals or companies. The report focuses on:
  • EDI/B2B Standards utilized by the community
  • EDI infrastructure utilized by the member company
  • Transaction sets and EDI versions used by the community
Companies will provide the information of the previous year in Q1 and Q2 and allow GS1 US personnel to aggregate the collected data in Q3 for a publication of the report in Q4. Please send your completed EDI questionnaires to hel-leithy@gs1us.org.

The intent of these publications is to assist companies to implement the Industrial/Commercial (I/C) sector subset of the ASC X12 Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards.
