Requirements to Become a Certified Content Partner

  • Be a GS1 US Solution Partner Program member in good-standing
  • Have at least one designated individual from your company achieve the GS1 US Digital Listing Content Professional status by attending the following classroom training courses and passing the professional designation exam for each
      1. GS1 Standards Professional
      2. Package Measurement Professional
      3. GS1 US Digital Listing Content Professional
  • Subscribe to GS1 US Data Hub for Product, Company, and API
  • Sign GS1 US Certified Content Provider Agreement

FAQs

There are two stages of whom has access to your data:

  1. Frist stage is the preapproval stage. This is only available to the Brand Owner.
  2. Second stage -after the content has been approved- Any Data Hub Product View/Use Subscriber may view the detail information on products that are shared by default.  Alternatively, if the Brand Owner chooses to only give access to their trading partner(s) for specific products.   In either situation, the enhanced information is located under the Additional Information tab for each product record.  For more information on sharing product information, please refer to the mini guide on sharing

There may be a number of reasons you may want to call the CCP: for examples

  1. You would like to discuss the information thy already provided on a record
  2. Removing a product from a work order
  3. Discussing terms of your business arrangement

All levels of Data Hub including the Enhanced Content are secured by our 256 SSL encryption.

The arrangement that you as the Brand Owner and the CCP are determined outside of GS1 US’s Involvement. If for any reason you cancel the agreement with your CCP, the Brand Owner can unassign any product at the product level. In addition, the company administrator for the Brand Owner can unassign a CCP at the company level.

During the approval process, the Brand Owner can reject the content submitted by the CCP and provide a reason for the rejection.

Once the Brand Owner’s Enhanced Content has been approved, it will be immediately displayed with the certified icons.
