A GLN does for parties and locations what UPCs (or GTINs) do for products.

How it Works

  • Estimate how many GLNs you will need for your products. You will need a different number for each location. There are many types of uses for GLNs including identifying who is involved in transactions, such as a company or department, and where products are located, such as a warehouse or pharmacy.
  • Choose the pricing option that fits your needs (see chart below), add your selection to your cart, and check out. 
  • Start assigning GLNs with GS1 US Data Hub, our platform for managing product and location data.
  • Once you have assigned your GLNs, you can start sharing them immediately with trading partners.
