As President and Chief Executive Officer of GS1 US, Bob Carpenter is responsible for establishing and executing strategic direction for all GS1 US industry initiatives, education and consulting services, and business solutions. That includes its joint venture, 1WorldSync, which helps companies share and manage product data. Bob serves on the GS1 Global Management Board and Executive Committee, as well as EPCglobal®, which oversees standards used for radio frequency identification (RFID).

Prior to joining GS1 US®, Bob was President of ARAMARK Healthcare, which generated $2 billion in revenue for ARAMARK Corporation and served more than 1,200 North American hospitals. While at ARAMARK Healthcare, he led more than 13,000 employees providing food, facilities, and clinical equipment to achieve record growth. He also served as Senior Vice President of Business and Strategic Development for ARAMARK International, a $4 billion division with locations in 22 countries.

Before joining ARAMARK, Bob served as Vice President of Marketing for McNeil Consumer and Specialty Pharmaceuticals. At McNeil, he led a department responsible for 21 different product lines, including Tylenol, Motrin, Imodium, and St. Joseph portfolio brands.

Bob earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in history from Middlebury College, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude.

Laura DiSciullo Senior - Vice President, Solutions

Laura DiSciullo is the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Product Management for GS1 US where she leads the organization’s market and product development strategies that position GS1 US for long-term growth. Previously, she was Senior Vice President of Solutions at GS1 US, responsible for overseeing the development of GS1 US tools and solutions that support the business needs of members, and for creating strategic programs that increase customer satisfaction while improving membership renewal rates.

Prior to joining GS1 US, Ms. DiSciullo held several leadership positions during her 20-year tenure in the telecommunications industry and the contact center applications field. Most recently, she was Managing Director, Global Product Marketing and Contact Center Expert Services at Avaya where she designed, organized and managed a global expert consultation group for complex contact center solutions. At Avaya, Ms. DiSciullo also directed the creation of industry-leading innovations for customer service applications—integrating multiple communication media, self-service applications, and business critical reporting. Ms. DiSciullo is a 2006 recipient of both the Avaya President’s Award and the Avaya Leadership Award.

Ms. DiSciullo graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Texas Christian University and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She earned an MBA in Economics and Public Policy from The George Washington University

Bernie Hogan Senior - Vice President, Emerging Capabilities and Industries

Bernie Hogan is Senior Vice President of Standards Development for GS1 US where he is responsible for collaborating with GS1, the global information standards organization, to develop the GS1 Standards adopted by organizations of all sizes across multiple industries. Since joining GS1 US in 1999, Mr. Hogan has held numerous executive leadership positions. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President of Emerging Capabilities where he spearheaded GS1 Standards development efforts in new markets.

Prior to joining GS1 US, Mr. Hogan was Vice President of Operations, Telecommunications and Store Systems in the Information Systems Division of Saks Fifth Avenue where he was responsible for the development of store systems applications and the technology infrastructure.

Throughout his 30-year career, Mr. Hogan has made significant contributions to the technology and retail industries, including participating in various industry committees for the National Retail Federation, Retail Industry Leaders Association and the Retail Systems Alert Group. Mr. Hogan currently serves on the GS1 Board Committee for Standards as well as the GS1 Innovation Board.

Gayle (Jones) Reilich - Senior Vice President, Customer Engagement

As Senior Vice President of Member Services and Support for GS1 US, Gayle Reilich has more than 20 years of national account management, marketing, sales and operations experience and is responsible for the strategic creation, development, and execution of GS1 US member programs that drive a superior customer experience. She leads teams responsible for prefix program management, customer service, business operations and program implementation. These teams ensure customers receive maximum value from GS1 US solutions, while driving GS1 Standards adoption, retention, and usage.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Reilich was Vice President of Customer Programs at GS1 US, where she developed and oversaw the implementation of a successful strategic plan centered on improving employee development, increasing productivity, and optimizing customer satisfaction.

Before joining GS1 US in 2010, Ms. Reilich was Director, Account Management at The Berry Company, LLC (now Vivial). There, she developed a corporate digital transformation plan for migration to leads-based internet advertising, including research and development, business case definition, and financial modeling. She later developed and implemented a regional account management strategy.

Ms. Reilich earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications from Bowling Green State University and an MBA in Marketing from Wright State University.     

Yegneswaran Kumar (“Kumar”) - Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Yegneswaran Kumar is the Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Corporate Secretary for GS1 US. His responsibilities include the financial strategy and performance of the organization, financial controls, and investment fund performance oversight. He also has responsibility for oversight of the Legal Department, Technology Department, fiduciary responsibilities as Corporate Secretary and is involved in Board membership and governance matters.

Mr. Kumar has more than 20 years of finance experience in global companies. Prior to joining GS1 US in July 2005, he worked for Johnson Diversey, a global manufacturing company, serving as Finance Director–Supply Chain for its North American operations. Previously, he served in different capacities at Black & Decker in the Middle East and the U.S., lastly as Director–Financial Planning & Analysis for its flagship power tools business. Prior to that, he worked for Unilever in India.

Mr. Kumar holds an undergraduate degree from Madras University, India, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India, and professional accreditation as a Chartered Accountant in India. After migrating to the U.S., Kumar obtained his CPA accreditation and is also a CFA charter holder.

Siobhan O’Bara - Senior Vice President, Industry Engagement

Siobhan O’Bara, Senior Vice President of Industry Engagement & Services for GS1 US, is an accomplished leader with over 20 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, and operations management. She is responsible for building long-term industry relationships through strategic and meaningful collaboration and serves as lead ambassador to the Consumer Packaged Goods/Grocery, Healthcare, Foodservice, Fresh Foods, Apparel, and General Merchandise industry sectors. In addition to her industry role, Ms. O’Bara has responsibility for the GS1 US external services offering, which includes GS1 US University, Education & Training programs, the Solution Partner program and the Advisory Services program. Previously, she served as Senior Vice President of Industry Engagement where she was responsible for defining the strategy and ensuring achievement of operating results across all 25 industries working with GS1 US through the adoption and usage of GS1 Standards.

Prior to joining GS1 US, Ms. O’Bara held several executive leadership positions at Covidien (Medtronic), a leading global provider of healthcare products. A seasoned customer service and customer operations expert, during her tenure at Covidien, Ms. O’Bara led multiple customer initiatives. As Vice President of Customer Operations, she created a Global Shared Services customer operations team that supported more than 200,000 customers in three sectors and six global business units. She was also Vice President of Supply Chain Systems & Solutions, responsible for systems conversions and merger/acquisition integrations. She led the supply chain functions at multiple Covidien divisions, including medical supplies, retail, imaging, pharmaceutical, and respiratory technologies.

An accomplished author and public speaker, Ms. O’Bara is often invited to speak at industry events and teach classes at key supply chain management programs, including Penn State. She is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University, the University of Connecticut, and Babson College.

Greg Rogers - Senior Vice President, Human Resources

As Senior Vice President of Human Resources at GS1 US, Greg Rogers has more than 30 years of human resource and management experience in the consumer packaged goods and utilities industries. He is responsible for leading all facilities management and human resources activities across the organization in the areas of employee relations, training and development, talent management, organizational development, compensation, benefits, employee communications, and office services. Previously, he served as Vice President of Human Resources for GS1 US.

Before joining GS1 US in 2013, Mr. Rogers was Vice President of Human Resources for Revlon, a leading global cosmetics and beauty care products company. At Revlon, he provided human resources leadership to the corporate office and the U.S. market while leading the development and delivery of worldwide corporate human resource programs.

Mr. Rogers started his professional career at Pacific Gas & Electric Company, where he held positions of increasing responsibility in human resources and general management. During that time, he served on many advisory boards, including the San Francisco Mayor’s Human Resources Advisory Board, Goodwill Industries of the Bay Area Board of Advisors and the Commerce Clearing House National Human Resources Board of Advisors.

Mr. Rogers earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University and his MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. He is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources from the Society of Human Resources Management.

Rick Rasansky - SVP Corporate Development

Rick Rasansky is Senior Vice President, Corporate Development at GS1 US and has more than 25 years of strategic and technical leadership experience as a founder, C-level officer, principal partner and investor of public and private entities. In his role at GS1 US, he leads new business efforts and an agile team of thought leaders in the identification of novel and advanced opportunities to drive GS1 Standards adoption and usage in new and existing markets.

Prior to joining GS1 US, Mr. Rasansky was the founder and CEO of his seventh start-up, Yorn.com, a data and analytics platform designed to guide organizations to continuously improve overall operational performance, quality and stakeholder experience by uniquely engaging their stakeholders via their mobile presence. His career also includes executive leadership roles across multiple sectors spanning software, telecommunications, venture capital, real estate, aviation, healthcare, hospitality, financial and consumer services.

Mr. Rasansky is an active patent-holding inventor and serves on the board of directors of several start-ups, charitable, and industry organizations, including co-founding the Mid-Atlantic chapter of the global Mobile Monday organization. Additionally, he is actively involved in mentoring and coaching entrepreneurs and is an advisor to Dreamit Health. An invited lecturer at several universities, he also serves on the advisory board for the department of Computer Science at Drexel University.

Mr. Rasansky is a graduate of The Wharton School and also studied Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at the Moore School at the University of Pennsylvania.
