GS1 US Data Hub - What's New
1. Your Account Has Unlimited Create/Manage Roles
If you are the General User Administrator for your account, you can now assign as many Product Create/Manage and Location Create/Manage roles as your company needs. Prior to this release, a subscription to add more roles was required.
When users receive these Create/Manage roles, they can add and manage products and/or locations within GS1 US Data Hub.
Want to learn more about adding roles?
View the Add Users and Assign Roles article in this Help Center.
2. Brand Owners Can View Their Own Data In View/Use
If you are a brand owner and subscribe to the Product View/Use or Location View/Use tools, you were previously unable to view your company's products or locations within these tools. This prevented you from seeing how your company's data was presented to View/Use subscribers.
For the October 30th release, brand owners with the View/Use subscription can view their own data when they click the "View/Use" link and search for third-party data.

September 6th Release:
1. New Home Page and Administration Area
You may have noticed our new, more modern home page! You now have more shortcuts to key Product and Location features. You'll also see a streamlined view of your GS1 Company Prefix Usage numbers, so you'll know just how many GTINs and GLNs are still available for your company to assign.
And you can stay aware of pressing supply chain and barcode issues, delivered via GS1 US videos.
We've also updated the Administration area, to make it eaiser to manage specific features, such as the default Share settings, the Location Approval Process, and more.
2. Products: Sharing Individual Products
By default, your company shares all products with Product View/Use subscribers, and also with users globally via the Verified by GS1 service. With this release, you'll see a simpler way to stop sharing an individual product, if necessary. To learn more, visit the Product Share article.
If you turn off the default "share all" setting, you now have an easy way to share an individual product.
A new Share tab from the Products screen lists the products that your company is no longer sharing.
3. Locations: Define a "Sharing" Trading Partner List
By default, your company shares all GLNs with Location View/Use subscribers, and also with users globally via the Verified by GS1 service. Your company may prefer to share only certain GLNs with a defined set of trading partners. A new feature enables you to build a trading partner list, and then share GLNs with this list.
Also, a new feature enables you to specify multiple GLNs that are being replaced by a new GLN. When you enter a GLN in the Replaces GLN field, click the Add another GLN to be replaced link. You can add up to 10 GLNs.
4. Locations: Contact Information Now Required
The GLN contact attributes, Phone and Email, will now be visible to Location View/Use subscribers, making it easy for these members to reach out with questions. When you enter a new GLN, you will need to enter at least one of these two attributes for each GLN Type.
Similarly, if you modify an existing GLN Type in GS1 US Data Hub, and the Phone and Email have not been entered previously, you will be prompted to enter at least one of these fields.
