Delete Duplicate GLNs

If you accidentally created a location in GS1 US Data Hub®, resulting in the assignment of duplicate GLNs, you can set the GLN Type(s) for the duplicate GLN to “Inactive.” This will let Location View/Use subscribers know these GLNs are no longer in use.

View the Instructions below on how to set these GLN Type(s) to inactive whether it be via the user interface or import feature.

Steps to update the GLN Type(s) to Inactive via the User Interface

From the GS1 US Data Hub homepage, click the Locations tab.

On the My Locations page, locate and open the GLN record by clicking the blue GLN hyperlink.

Once the GLN Record is open, locate the GLN Type you are needing to make inactive and click the Make Inactive button. Once you press continue the GLN Type will now be in an Inactive State.
